HEXAGON PORTRAITS 🎬

It is Charles Bourdeaux's turn to answer our questions for this second episode of the new series “Les portraits hexagone”.

Charles recently joined the team as Sales and Prescriber Relationship Manager.

We quickly realized that we were going to have fun with him at the office. He says it himself: he is quite a jerk (“but with a minimum of seriousness when necessary”). You will also hear him talking about Robert de Niro, cognac and cigars just before inviting you.

In fact Charles is full of surprises.

What is your name and what do you do for a living?

My name is Charles Bourdeaux and I am responsible for sales at Hexagone and in particular on the prescriber relationships part such as architectural firms, AMO and Design & Build.

If you had to describe yourself in 3 words?

In three words I would say that I am quite in a good mood at work, quite playful, quite dynamic and stubborn.

Lacquered trend or natural materials trend?

I would say 100% natural materials because in my minimalist decor choices, natural materials are sufficient by themselves in terms of decoration.

Espresso or latte macchiato?

Espresso!

Who would you like to drink this espresso with?

Being a movie fan I would have chosen Al Pacino or Robert De Niro.

Your favorite designer?

The Bouroullec brothers for the chauvinist side because they are French and the vegetable side present in their latest designs.

An iconic designer piece of furniture, if I had to mention only one?

I chose the Eames lounge chair with the ottoman for the slightly vintage 70s feel. Leather, cognac, cigar... that's the spirit!

Beautiful or durable?

Beautiful and sustainable: beauty is present in the eye of the person who looks at it.

What does sustainability in workspaces mean to you?

I think that we are only at the beginning, in the early stages of sustainability in workspaces and that in the world of tomorrow, to come, whether we are green or not, we will necessarily have to look into the question and it is we, the actors of today, who will ensure that this is transformed concretely in projects. That's what we're trying to do today.

If you had to end with one word, what would it be?

It will not be a last word but rather an invitation. Whether you come from our professions or not, it's time to come and meet us at our exhibition space, which is La Maison Volubilis, where we expose French know-how but also those of our partners. I would be happy to visit you over a coffee so see you here!
