The portraits - Ulrich Russier

Ulrich is the head of the Hexagon sales team. Discover his portrait.

Contact Hexagone

Ulrich Russier took part in the interview exercise for this fourth episode of French portraits.

Ulrich is the head of the Hexagon sales team. He is also our French expert (our upcycling and reuse offer). Ulrich always has a good idea, advice or the right word, with a smile as a trademark. Passionate about furniture as he likes to say, he has been working in this sector for many years.

Ulrich is the quiet strength of the team. He gives us his vision of the profession, comfortably installed in the Maison Volubilis Pool, the “room for major decisions” or should we say “big dives”!

What is your name and what do you do for a living?

My name is Ulrich Russier, I am the sales director of a great team at Hexagone and also an expert in upcycling.

If you had to describe yourself in 3 words?

I am passionate about my role and my job. I have a bit of a creative side, and I am also kind to others

Tea or coffee?

Coffee in the morning, tea in the afternoon.

What personality would you like to drink it with?

I am also very passionate about real estate so I would say Grant Cardone, who for me is an example of perseverance and success because he is someone who started from nothing and who built an empire.

Your favorite designer?

So it will be more of an architect: Jean Nouvel. I am fascinated by the creations he was able to make, in particular the Ycone Tower in Lyon and the Hekla Tower in La Défense.

An iconic design piece, if only one had to be mentioned?

To name but one, it will be the Panton Chair by Verner Panton that gives this feeling of being suspended in the void.

A beautiful or sustainable team?

Both! Beautiful and sustainable because it is our duty at Hexagone to make beauty out of what is no longer beautiful!

What does sustainability in workspaces mean to you?

It means creating workspaces with upcycled, transformed and redesigned products that were destined to go to the dump, to limit the carbon impact.

In your opinion, what are the 3 main qualities of hexagon?

Make something beautiful out of what is no longer beautiful.

Support for our customers and prospects on how to reduce their carbon impact.

French manufacturing and the ability to make tailor-made products.

Your dream for Hexagon?

To be the No. 1 in upcycling and upcycling within 5 years.

If you had to end with one word, what would it be?

I invite all major account managers and architects to come and visit us at Maison Volubilis to discover our upcycling and upcycling solutions and also all our know-how. You will be offered a coffee with a breathtaking view of Paris.
