Festive atmosphere in the office

The end of year celebrations in general are among the most anticipated events. Celebrating Christmas at the office offers an opportunity to create a friendly and festive atmosphere.

The holiday season is still an important time for many. The opportunity finally to take a break after a long year, to get together with family and to eat (a lot). For companies, this period can be an opportunity to organize an event to reward the efforts of employees and share a moment of complicity by bringing teams together.

According to the latest studies published on the end of year celebrations in companies, the French don't really like it anymore. According to a study signed by Deskeo, 64% of French people admit that they do not like celebrating Christmas at their workplace. If in addition a secret Santa is organized and you come across Bernard from accounting whom you talk to once a month... It is not necessarily easy to find a gift for a colleague we don't know more than that.

But because at Hexagone, we prefer to see the glass as half full, we can assure you that with a little organization and creativity, this time of year could well become your favorite time of the year, even at work!

Objective No. 1: focus on decoration!

Who says Christmas says decorations, of course! It is the first essential step to infuse the magic of the holidays into your premises. This does not necessarily require a large budget. You can ask your employees to bring home decorative objects that they no longer use or opt for second-hand ones.

At Hexagone, we have focused on sustainable decoration: priority second hand and DIY! Stars, garlands, balls, socks... we went through all the announcements of the moment to bring the magic of the holidays to Maison Volubilis.

As for the fir tree, we were necessarily faced with the eternal dilemma: artificial with a dubious composition or natural but... dead for 3 weeks of garlands and glitter. The choice of hexagon: neither! It is a potted fir tree that we have adopted and that we will replant after having misted and watered it regularly during the last weeks of the year.

Objective 2: Involve teams

What would December be without its advent calendar? Exit the classic advent calendar with chocolates!

The hexagon concept: everyone brought a surprise for the calendar. We have carefully packed each package and colleagues who are drawn at random day after day can choose a gift and unpack it. Something to brighten up our working days, even in this gray weather!

Objective 3: Conviviality and sharing

Obviously you can't celebrate in business without the traditional Christmas meal! Having become a real tradition for many businesses, the Christmas meal will perfectly end the end of the year and further anchor the festive atmosphere in the office.

At Hexagone, we have not broken the rule. It is an opportunity to share nice moments with colleagues, to congratulate each other for personal successes and progress and to make an informal assessment of the events that marked the year. But it is also precisely the time to stop talking about work and that feels good!

For the meal, anything is possible: a cocktail party, an after-work for a more festive and friendly atmosphere or even a team building to prepare the meal together.

You can also organize activities at the end of the year to strengthen the ties and solidarity of your teams: board games, team building, escape game or even the famous ugly sweater competition are perfect opportunities to create memories within your company.

Objectives No. 4: Solidarity

Because Christmas is not synonymous with copious meals and gifts for everyone. It is also an opportunity to show solidarity and to share. You can thus organize various actions such as contacting local associations and organizing a collection of clothes, toys or food.

The end of year celebrations in general are among the most anticipated events. Celebrating Christmas in the office is an opportunity to create a friendly atmosphere and to strengthen relationships between colleagues.

From decorating offices to distributing gifts to activities, every detail contributes to sharing the joy of these holidays with your employees.

And finally, whether with family or colleagues, isn't the real condition for a successful Christmas in building and maintaining good relationships throughout the year?
